Pedro Rodríguez was born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the Canary Islands, on July 28, 1987. A fast and highly mobile striker, he was developed by Barcelona and became an important part of the generation that dominated world football between 2008 and 2012. At Barcelona, where he played from 2008 to 2015, he won two UEFA Champions League titles and several Spanish league titles. In 2009, he became the first player to score goals in all six competitions contested by the club in the same year, in the season when Barcelona won all six possible titles. For the Spanish national team, he appeared in 65 matches and scored 17 goals. He was a World Cup champion in 2010 and a European Championship champion in 2012. After Barcelona, he played for Chelsea, where he won the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the UEFA Europa League, and also played for Roma and Lazio.
