Philipp Lahm
Philipp Lahm is widely considered one of the greatest fullbacks in world football history. A native of Munich, he developed his entire elite career at Bayern Munich — with a loan spell at VfB Stuttgart — and became one of the most respected captains in European football, with unparalleled tactical intelligence and rare versatility to perform with equal efficiency on either the right or left flank. During his fifteen years of professional career, he won countless titles with Bayern Munich, with special mention to the UEFA Champions League in 2013, when the club defeated Borussia Dortmund in the final held at Wembley. The dominance in the German Championship was absolute, with a sequence of consecutive Bundesliga titles. His most glorious moment came on July 13, 2014, when he lifted the World Cup trophy as captain of the German national team at the Maracanã Stadium, in Rio de Janeiro, after a 1-0 victory over Argentina in extra time. The achievement crowned an impeccable career and established him as one of the greatest players of all time in his position. After retiring in 2017, Lahm assumed management positions in German football, having been responsible for organizing the European Championship of 2024 held in Germany, confirming his status as a central figure in the country's football.
