Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is a Danish midfielder trained at Bayern Munich, where he became the youngest player ever to debut for the club in the Bundesliga, in 2013. After loan spells at Augsburg and Schalke 04, he transferred in 2016 to Southampton, in England, where he established himself as a regular starter and captain. In 2020 he was signed by Tottenham, where he played as a holding midfielder and defender. Later he moved to French football, joining Marseille. For the Denmark national team, he made his debut in 2014 and was part of the squads for Euro 2020, when the team reached the semifinals, and the 2022 World Cup.
