Rivaldo is one of the greatest Brazilian players in history, Ballon d'Or winner in 1999 and world champion in 2002. Born in Paulista, Pernambuco, in a humble family, he overcame poverty to become one of the most complete midfielders of his generation. Champions League and La Liga champion with Barcelona, he shone with dribbles, spectacular long-range goals and unique game vision.
