Vampeta was a Brazilian midfielder known for his striking performance and charismatic personality on and off the field, having played for clubs such as Corinthians and Palmeiras. Discovered in São Paulo football, he gained national notoriety by competing in the 2002 World Cup, integrating Brazil's five-time champion squad under the command of Luiz Felipe Scolari.
