Rui Costa
Rui Costa was one of the greatest midfielders of his generation, recognized for his technical elegance, privileged vision of the game and precision in passes and assists. He shone at Fiorentina during six seasons, becoming an absolute idol of the Italian supporters before transferring to AC Milan, where he won the Champions League in 2003. For the Portuguese national team, he participated in four World Cups and was runner-up at Euro 2004, held on Portuguese soil. After retirement, he took on leadership positions at Benfica, the club that formed him, becoming president in 2021.
