Sam Kerr

Sam Kerr is an Australian striker considered one of the greatest goalscorers in the history of women's football, recognized for her speed, predatory instinct and the distinctive bicycle kick celebration. Captain of the Australian National Team, she is the all-time leading goalscorer for the 'Matildas'. She began her career at Perth Glory in Australia before transferring to the United States, where she played for Sky Blue FC/Western New York Flash and Chicago Red Stars in the NWSL, winning the league's top scorer award in more than one season. In 2019, she signed with Chelsea, becoming a key player in the English club's dominance in the WSL. She competed in the World Cups of 2019 and 2023, with a standout acrobatic goal scored against Ireland in the World Cup held at home in Australia in 2023. A serious knee injury in early 2024 sidelined her for much of the season, including the Paris Olympic Games.
