Sami Khedira

Sami Khedira is a former German midfielder, born in Stuttgart and of Tunisian descent on his father's side. Revealed through the youth categories of VfB Stuttgart, he established himself as one of the main defensive midfielders of the German national team in the 2010s, playing alongside colleagues such as Bastian Schweinsteiger in the German midfield. After standing out at the 2010 World Cup, he was signed by Real Madrid, where he won the UEFA Champions League 2013-14. In 2015, he transferred to Juventus, where he became a multiple-time Italian champion, forming one of the most respected midfields in Serie A. He was a key player for the German national team champion at the 2014 World Cup, although he was absent from the team in the final against Argentina after suffering an injury in training that preceded the final. He ended his career in 2023, after a stint at Hertha Berlin.
