Sandro Tonali

Sandro Tonali

Sandro Tonali was born in Lodi, in Lombardy, son of a fervent Milan fan who traveled across Europe to follow the club — a passion inherited by his son. He made his professional debut for Brescia Calcio in 2017, at age 17, and quickly stood out as one of the greatest promises of the Italian midfield. After helping Brescia achieve promotion to Serie A in 2018-19, he was loaned out and later permanently signed by AC Milan, the club of his heart. At Milan, he lived the peak of his career, being a key player in winning the Scudetto in 2021-22, the club's first Italian title in more than a decade. In 2023, he was signed by Newcastle United for around 70 million euros, becoming the most expensive Italian footballer in history up to that point. In England, he became a regular starter in midfield and won the English League Cup (EFL Cup) in the 2024-25 season. In July 2026, he was signed by Tottenham Hotspur, continuing his career in the Premier League. With the Italian National Team, he has been a constant presence since youth categories, representing the country in UEFA competitions.
