Son Heung-min
Son Heung-min is the greatest South Korean player in modern football history and one of the most complete attackers of his generation. Born in Chuncheon, South Korea, he developed his skills from childhood under the guidance of his father, former footballer Son Woong-jung, who taught him to master both feet with surgical precision. He began his professional career in Germany, passing through Hamburgo SV and Bayer Leverkusen before transferring to Tottenham Hotspur in 2015. At the London club, he became one of the most loved and respected players in the Premier League, forming with Harry Kane one of the most prolific attacking partnerships in European football of the decade. In the 2021-22 season, Son shared the Premier League top scorer award with Mohamed Salah, both with 23 goals, becoming the first Asian to win the title of top scorer of the world's main league. The feat was historic and marked a milestone for Asian football. In the South Korean national team, he is the country's all-time top scorer and one of the most influential players in recent World Cup participations. His goal against world champion Germany in 2018 is considered one of the most memorable in the tournament's history.
