Viktor Gyökeres
Viktor Gyökeres is one of the deadliest strikers in current European football. Powerful, fast and a merciless finisher, the Swedish international exploded late, but at an overwhelming pace: at Sporting, he scored 97 goals in 102 games in just two seasons, numbers that placed him among the world's top scorers. Discovered by Brommapojkarna, from Stockholm, Gyökeres had a modest start in Europe: signed by Brighton, he failed to establish himself and moved on loan until finding his space at Coventry City, in the English second division. It was there that he became a reference goalscorer, catching the attention of Sporting, who signed him in 2023. In Lisbon, he became a phenomenon: he led the club to back-to-back Portuguese titles (2023-24 and 2024-25), won the double with the Portuguese Cup and claimed the European Golden Boot for 2024-25, with 39 league goals. In the summer of 2025, he transferred to Arsenal, in one of the most anticipated signings of the Premier League. For the Swedish national team, he forms an attacking partnership with Alexander Isak.
