Vivianne Miedema
Vivianne Miedema was born in Hoogeveen, in the province of Drenthe, and signed her first professional contract at age 14 with SC Heerenveen. In the 2013-14 season, she was the top scorer of the BeNe League with 39 goals, drawing the attention of European football. In 2014, she transferred to Bayern Munich, where she helped the club win its first German title since 1976. In May 2017, she was signed by Arsenal, becoming one of the main forwards in English football and the greatest goalscorer in the history of the Women's Super League. For the Dutch National Team, she made her debut in 2013 at age 17, and was a key player in the historic achievement of the 2017 Women's Euros, held on Dutch soil, scoring in both the semifinal and final of the tournament. At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, she broke the record for goals in a single Olympic Games edition with ten goals scored. In 2024, she transferred to Manchester City, where she won the Women's Super League title in the 2025-26 season. She became the first Dutch player, among men and women, to surpass the 100-goal mark for the national team.
