Walter Zenga was born in Milan on April 28, 1960 and became one of the greatest Italian goalkeepers in history. Developed in Inter Milan's youth categories, he defended the club from 1982 to 1994 and was one of the pillars of the Italian champion team of 1988-89. For the Italy national team, he played 58 matches and was the starter in the campaign that finished with third place at the 1990 World Cup, held at home. In that tournament, he had a sequence of more than 500 minutes without conceding goals. In 1994 he left Inter and played for Sampdoria, Padova, and New England Revolution in the United States, where he ended his career.
