History
The ABC Football Club was founded on June 29, 1915, in Natal, being the oldest football club in activity in Rio Grande do Norte and one of the most traditional in the Brazilian Northeast. The Potiguar black-and-white team holds a notable record: it is the club with the most state championship titles in Brazilian football, with over 50 conquests of the Potiguar Championship, a mark that earned it a place in the Guinness Book, the book of records. Its biggest rival is América de Natal, with whom it disputes the Clássico Rei, one of the oldest and most heated clashes in Northeastern football.
