History

Founded in 1936, Esporte Clube Aimoré is one of the most traditional clubs in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre, representing the municipality of Esteio. Throughout its trajectory, it competed in several editions of Campeonato Gaúcho, both in the first division and in the lower divisions. The club had its competitive peak between the 1970s and 1990s, a period in which it regularly faced the major clubs in Porto Alegre in state competitions. Currently, Aimoré continues to operate mainly in youth academy competitions and in the lower divisions of Rio Grande do Sul football, keeping alive the century-old tradition of football in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul.
