AFC Ajax

Ajax is the biggest club in the Netherlands and one of the most influential football schools in the world, responsible for exporting the concept of total football and revealing generations of talented players.

History

Founded in 1900 in Amsterdam, Ajax became a world power in the 1970s with the total football of Rinus Michels and Johan Cruyff, winning three consecutive European Cups. The club created one of the world's most recognized youth development systems, the Academy De Toekomst, which produced Clarence Seedorf, Patrick Kluivert, Frank Rijkaard and, more recently, Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt. In 1995, it won the Champions League again with a team completely formed through its academy.
