One of the traditional clubs of the Saudi capital, Al-Shabab is one of the oldest and most successful teams in Saudi Arabian football, competing in the Saudi Pro League.

History

Founded in 1947 in Riyadh, Al-Shabab is one of the most traditional clubs in the Saudi capital, alongside rivals such as Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr. Throughout its history, it became one of the regular forces in national football, winning championships of the Saudi league in different decades. The club experienced one of its most remarkable moments in the 2011-12 season, when it won the Saudi Pro League title, reinforcing its tradition among Riyadh's major clubs. In addition to national titles, Al-Shabab also competed in continental competitions organized by the AFC, maintaining itself as a competitive club within the Saudi scene over recent decades.
