Athletic Association Altos

Athletic Association Altos is one of the fastest-growing clubs in Piauí football, having gained prominence on the national stage in just a few years of existence. Founded in 2010, the club has already competed in Serie C of the Brazilian Championship and has accumulated significant state titles.

History

Athletic Association Altos was founded in 2010 in the municipality of Altos, near the capital Teresina, in Piauí. In a short time, the club demonstrated accelerated growth, winning the Piauí Championship and progressively advancing through the divisions of Brazilian football. The Caiman (Jacaré), a nickname honoring the regional fauna, quickly became one of the most popular clubs in Piauí, rivaling the traditional teams of the capital. Building a solid foundation and hiring experienced professionals were fundamental to the club's institutional growth. In national competitions, Altos FC competed in Serie C of the Brazilian Championship, displaying competitiveness above what was expected for an organization with just a decade of existence. The club's trajectory is one of the greatest examples of accelerated development in northeastern Brazilian football.
