History
América Futebol Clube is one of the pioneers of football in the state of Amazonas, founded in the early twentieth century amid the rubber economic cycle, a period when Manaus experienced strong sporting and cultural fervor. Throughout its history, the club established itself as one of the traditional forces of Amazonian football, regularly competing in the Amazonas Championship against rivals such as Nacional and Rio Negro. In national competitions, América-AM participated in the Serie D and regional cups, also serving as a training ground for athletes in North Brazilian football.
