América-MG Women

América Futebol Clube is a women's football team of América Mineiro, founded to represent the club in national and state women's competitions.

History

Founded in 2019 as part of the expansion of women's football in Brazil, the América-MG team sought from the beginning to consolidate a competitive foundation in the sport, competing in the Minas Gerais Women's Championship and national access competitions. Over the years, the team worked on developing athletes and structuring women's youth categories, seeking gradual evolution within women's football in Minas Gerais and Brazil. The club maintains the team as part of its multisport project, with the goal of growing in Series A2 and A3 of the Brazilian Women's Football Championship.
