Anápolis Futebol Clube is one of the most traditional clubs in the interior of Goiás, with strong presence in the Campeonato Goiano throughout its history.

History

Founded in 1913, Anápolis Futebol Clube is one of the oldest associations in the state of Goiás, having competed in several editions of the Campeonato Goiano since its creation. The club built historic rivalries with teams from the capital, especially Goiás and Vila Nova, and for decades was a reference in the football of the Goiás interior. Throughout the 20th century, the Anápolis Rooster alternated between moments of state prominence and reconstruction periods, always maintaining relevance in athlete development and regional football organization. The club also competed in national access competitions in different eras. In recent years, Anápolis has sought financial and sports restructuring to regain prominence in the Goiás scene, investing in youth categories and infrastructure in the interior of the state.
