History

Angra dos Reis Football Club was founded to represent football in the region of Costa Verde in Rio de Janeiro state, traditionally dominated by clubs from the capital and the Baixada. Throughout its history, the team alternated participations between the access divisions of the Carioca Championship, serving as a breeding ground for players from the region. The club maintains strong ties with the local community, being one of the few professional or semi-professional representatives of Costa Verde in the state scene, alongside neighboring teams from Paraty and Mangaratiba.
