Anhanguera AC

Club founded in 1948 in São Paulo, competed mainly in state and national competitions. It participated in several editions of the São Paulo Championship and was a constant presence in the history of São Paulo football.

History

Anhanguera was founded in 1948 by a group of São Paulo football enthusiasts. The club gained relevance by regularly participating in the São Paulo Championship since its foundation. It competed in the main divisions of São Paulo football, facing great rivals such as Corinthians, São Paulo and Palmeiras. In the 1980s and 1990s, the club went through financial difficulties that affected its competitiveness. Currently, Anhanguera competes in lower divisions of São Paulo football, but maintains historical tradition in the state of São Paulo.
