Araçatuba Esporte Clube was founded in 1914 in the city of Araçatuba, in western São Paulo, a region known for its football tradition. The club competed in the Paulista Championship on several occasions and also participated in Serie B of the Brazilian Championship in some decades. Known for its passionate fans, the team had its best moments in the 1980s and 1990s. The club continues to compete in state and regional competitions, keeping the passion for football alive in Araçatuba.
