Football club from the city of Assu, in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte, one of the traditional participants in Potiguan football.
History
Assu Futebol Clube was founded in 1978 in the city of Assu, in Rio Grande do Norte, becoming one of the main representatives of the state's interior in professional football. Throughout its history, the club competed in several editions of the Potiguan Championship, alternating participation between the first and second state divisions, and has also competed in national access tournaments organized by the CBF. The club maintains a strong connection with the local community, being one of the main football teams in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte, with a loyal fan base despite its modest structure compared to the major centers in the state.
