Atlanta United FC is one of the newest and at the same time most popular clubs in the MLS, joining the league in 2017. It plays its matches at the impressive Mercedes-Benz Stadium, with capacity for over 70,000 fans. The club quickly became a phenomenon of attendance and results, breaking league attendance records in its early years.

History

Atlanta United won the MLS Cup in 2018, just in its second year in the league, becoming one of the most successful expansion teams in the history of American football. The club signed Argentine coach Gerardo Martino and stars like Josef Martínez and Miguel Almirón, who soon caught the attention of European football. Atlanta broke MLS attendance records and inspired a new generation of football fans in the American South. Currently, it remains one of the league's most ambitious clubs.
