Atlas Fútbol Club
Atlas FC is one of Mexico's most traditional clubs and the oldest in Guadalajara, founded in the same year as Club América. Known as 'Los Zorros' (The Foxes), the club went decades without winning national titles, but broke a historic 70-year drought by winning Liga MX in 2021 and 2022. It is a club with deep cultural identity in the city of Guadalajara.
History
Atlas had its first Mexican Championship conquest in 1951 and waited seven decades to lift the national trophy again. In 2021 and 2022, the club experienced its greatest phase, winning two consecutive Liga MX titles with a brilliant generation of players. Historically known for developing talent for the Mexican national team, the club is a breeding ground for national players. Its rivalry with Chivas de Guadalajara is one of the most intense in Mexican football.
