History

Founded in 1908, Atlético Mineiro has always been one of the most popular clubs in Minas Gerais. For decades, the club boasted talents such as Reinaldo in the 1970s and 1980s. In 2013, it lived its most glorious moment by winning the Copa Libertadores, defeating Olimpia in the final on penalties at Mineirão. In 2021, it shone again by winning the Brasileirão and the Copa do Brasil in the same year.
