Barcelona Sports Club

A sports club from Espírito Santo founded in Colatina, one of the most traditional teams from the interior of Espírito Santo and a frequent participant in the Campeonato Capixaba.

History

Barcelona Esporte Clube was born in the early twentieth century in the city of Colatina, in the north of Espírito Santo, inspired by the name of the Catalan club Barcelona. Throughout its trajectory, it became one of the main forces in football in the interior of Espírito Santo, regularly competing in the first division of the Campeonato Capixaba. The club has never won the main state title, but has maintained itself as a protagonist in the competitions of the interior, with historical rivalries against other teams from Colatina and the region. Its fan base is recognized for its loyalty in a city with a strong football tradition. In recent years, Barcelona has alternated participations between the elite and access divisions of Espírito Santo football, keeping alive the club's centennial tradition.
