Bayern Munich 2020
The Bayern Munich 2019-20 team, coached by Hansi Flick, won the treble with the Bundesliga, German Cup and Champions League. In 2020, the team also won the German Super Cup and UEFA Super Cup, completing the sextuple with the Club World Cup in 2021.
History
FC Bayern München was founded in 1900 and is Germany's most successful club. The 2019-20 season marked one of the most dominant campaigns in its history. Hansi Flick took over the team in November 2019, after Niko Kovač's departure, and transformed the team into an offensive machine. Bayern won the Bundesliga, the German Cup with victory over Bayer Leverkusen in the final, and the UEFA Champions League. In the European competition, held in Lisbon in the final phase due to the covid-19 pandemic, Bayern thrashed Barcelona 8-2 in the quarter-finals and defeated Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in the final on August 23, 2020, with a goal by Kingsley Coman. The team won all 11 matches it played in the tournament, and Robert Lewandowski was the top scorer with 15 goals. The treble repeated the 2013 feat, and the team continued winning: German Super Cup and UEFA Super Cup in 2020 and FIFA Club World Cup in early 2021.
