Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü

Beşiktaş is the oldest club in Istanbul and one of the three major clubs in Turkish football. Founded in 1903, the club based in the European district of Beşiktaş has one of the most passionate fanbases in Turkey. The club is known for its intense rivalry with Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe.

History

Beşiktaş won 16 Süper Lig titles and established itself as a consistent powerhouse in Turkish football. The club had its best European period in the 2000s and 2010s, reaching the round of 16 in the Champions League in 2017-18. Players such as Rüştü Reçber, İlhan Mansız and Demba Ba left indelible marks on the club's history. The Çarşı supporters are famous internationally for their fervor and creativity.
