Club Bolívar
Founded in 1925 in honor of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, Club Bolívar is Bolivia's most successful club, with more than 30 national titles. Based in La Paz at 3,600 meters above sea level, it uses the terrain as a historical advantage in South American competitions.
History
Born on April 12, 1925, the club began its journey in amateur football and won its first title in 1932. With legendary Víctor Agustín Ugarte in the squad from 1947, it began its golden era. Marco Etcheverry, 'El Diablo', became a symbol of the club during the transition to the 2000s. In 2004, Bolívar reached the Copa Sudamericana final, its greatest continental campaign.
