Bologna Football Club 1909
Bologna is one of the most traditional clubs in Italian football, representing the city known as 'La Grassa' for its gastronomy. Founded in 1909, the club experienced its golden era in the 1930s and 1940s. In recent years, it has returned to being among the most competitive teams in Serie A.
History
Bologna has won seven Serie A titles, with most of them in the 1930s and 1940s, a period when it was one of the most powerful clubs in Italy. The club also won the Mitropa Cup in 1932 and 1934, becoming a reference in European football of that era. After many years without significant achievements, Bologna returned to prominence in the 2023-2024 season, qualifying for the Champions League for the first time. Coach Thiago Motta was the architect of this historic comeback.
