Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas

Botafogo is one of the most traditional clubs in Brazilian football, birthplace of great idols such as Garrincha and Nilton Santos. It won its first Copa Libertadores in 2024.

History

Founded in 1894, Botafogo carries the tradition of one of Rio's greatest clubs. Garrincha, the greatest joy of the people, defended the colors of Estrela Solitária throughout his career. In 2024, the club experienced its greatest continental moment by winning the Copa Libertadores for the first time, under the leadership of Artur Jorge.
