History
Founded on April 13, 1928 in the city of Bragança Paulista, Bragantino Athletic Club built over decades a solid history in São Paulo and national football. With its characteristic colors — white, black and red in stripes — and the nickname 'Massa Bruta', the club proudly represented the interior of São Paulo state. The peak of Bragantino's history came in 1990, when the club won the Brazilian Championship, overcoming giants of national football in a historic campaign. Striker Müller was the great highlight of that team, which revealed to the country a club capable of competing on equal terms with Brazil's best. During the 1990s and 2000s, Bragantino alternated between Series A and Series B of the Brazilian Championship, maintaining a modest but competitive structure. The Nabi Abi Chedid stadium, affectionately called 'Nabizão', was the stage for unforgettable moments for Bragantino fans. In 2019, the Red Bull group acquired the club, which became known as Red Bull Bragantino. With significant investments, the club gained a new identity and began to compete at a higher level, ending the era of Bragantino Athletic Club as it was known by older supporters.
