Cachoeira Football Club
Centennial club from Cachoeira do Sul, in Rio Grande do Sul, one of the oldest in the interior of the state, with a trajectory marked by interruptions and resumptions of activities.
History
Founded on February 24, 1914, Cachoeira Football Club is one of the most traditional clubs in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, competing in regional and state championships throughout much of the twentieth century. The club eventually transferred its headquarters to Pelotas, ending its original activities in 1982 after financial and administrative difficulties that affected various smaller clubs in the state. In 1999 Cachoeira was refounded, returning to professional football in Rio Grande do Sul and competing in access divisions of the Campeonato Gaúcho, keeping alive the club's centennial tradition with the community of Cachoeira do Sul.
