Associação Atlética Caldense
Associação Atlética Caldense is the main football club in Poços de Caldas, in the south of Minas Gerais. Known as the Veterana, Caldense is one of the most traditional clubs in the interior of Minas Gerais and has already competed in Serie B of the Brazilian Championship.
History
Founded in 1925 in Poços de Caldas, Associação Atlética Caldense is one of the oldest clubs in Minas Gerais. Throughout its history, the Veterana has achieved prominence in Minas Gerais football, participating in several editions of the Campeonato Mineiro and facing giants such as Cruzeiro, Atlético Mineiro, and América in state competitions. The club has Estádio Ronaldão as its main sports venue, an arena with great emotional value for the local supporters. Caldense competed in Serie B of the Brazilian Championship, a period in which it demonstrated competitiveness and attracted national attention. The club proudly represents the football of the interior of Minas Gerais, developing athletes and keeping alive the football tradition of Poços de Caldas, one of the main cities in southern Minas Gerais. The Veterana remains a sporting symbol of the thermal city and attracts loyal supporters generation after generation.
