It began activities in a semi-professional capacity and spent its first years competing in the lower divisions of Catarinense football, until adopting its current name, Camboriú Football Club, on April 24, 2009. The first titles followed: champion of Series C (Third Division) of the Catarinense in 2006 and champion of the Special Division (Series B) in 2011, a result that guaranteed access to the elite of Catarinense football starting in 2012. The historic peak came in 2022, when Camboriú eliminated Figueirense 2-0 and qualified, for the first time, for the final of the Campeonato Catarinense, finishing as runner-up of Series A and securing an unprecedented place in the Copa do Brasil 2023. After oscillating between divisions, the club became runner-up again, this time of Series B, in 2025, establishing itself as one of the protagonists of the new era of football on the Santa Catarina coast.
