History

Campinense Clube was founded on April 12, 1915, in Campina Grande, and plays its matches at Estádio Governador Ernani Sátyro, known as Amigão. It is one of Paraíba's most traditional clubs. In 2013, the Northeast Cup was played again after several years off the official calendar. Campinense was one of the competition's surprises and reached the final against ASA of Arapiraca. By winning the final, Raposa conquered the most important title in its regional history. It was also the first time a club from Paraíba won the Northeast Cup.
