Ceilândia Sports Club

Ceilândia Sports Club

Club from the administrative region of Ceilândia, in the Federal District, one of the most traditional teams in Brasília's football.

History

Founded in 1976, Ceilândia Sports Club was born from the popular passion for football in the satellite city of Ceilândia, one of the most populous in the Federal District. Throughout its trajectory, the club became one of the main forces in the Brasília Championship, disputing heated finals with Gama, Brasiliense and Sobradinho. The club conquered its space on the national scene by participating in editions of Série D of the Brazilian Championship, representing Center-West football outside the traditional axis. The team is also known for the strength of its supporters and for the historical rivalry with Gama. Despite never having competed in national elite divisions, Ceilândia maintains relevance as a developer of athletes and as a symbol of sporting identity for the local community, being one of the oldest and most beloved clubs in DF football.
