Cercle Brugge KSV

Belgian club from the city of Bruges that shares the Jan Breydelstadion with local rivals Club Brugge.

History

Cercle Brugge KSV was founded in 1899 in the city of Bruges, Belgium, and is one of the country's oldest clubs. Historically, it won national titles in the first half of the 20th century, being Belgian champion on several occasions. The club shares its city and stadium, the Jan Breydelstadion, with rival Club Brugge, playing one of the classic regional derbies of Belgian football. After decades of alternating between the first and second divisions, Cercle Brugge consolidated itself again in the elite of Belgian football in the 2020s, counting since 2017 on investment and management linked to the Monaco group.
