Cesena is a club from the city of Cesena, in Emilia-Romagna, founded in 1940. Known as Cavallucci Marini, it plays at Stadio Dino Manuzzi and has competed in several Serie A seasons.

History

Cesena was founded in 1940 as Associazione Calcio Cesena and spent much of its history between Serie B and Serie C, with remarkable seasons in the elite of Italian football. The club's best moment came in the 1970s. In the 1975-76 Serie A season, Cesena finished in sixth place, a result that guaranteed them a spot in the UEFA Cup for the following season. After that, the club alternated between Serie A and Serie B over the following decades, always with Stadio Dino Manuzzi as home. In 2018, following financial problems, the club was refounded as Cesena Football Club, maintaining the nickname Cavallucci Marini and the white and black colors.
