History

Cianorte FC was founded in 1974 in the city of Cianorte, a municipality located in the northwest of Paraná, about 500 kilometers from Curitiba. The club quickly became a sports reference in the region, gathering the passion for football of a city that grew rapidly with Paraná's agricultural expansion. Throughout the decades, Cianorte regularly competed in the Paraná State Championship, facing the state's major clubs such as Athletico, Coritiba, and Paraná Clube. Albino Turbay Stadium, the city's main sports venue, became a fortress for the club against its regional rivals. The club oscillated between divisions of Paraná football, always maintaining active youth categories and revealing players to the national market. Partnership with the city government and local entrepreneurs ensured the club's survival even during the financial crises that affected football in the Brazilian interior. In the 2000s and 2010s, Cianorte invested in its infrastructure and began competing more consistently, eventually competing in the Serie D of the Brazilian Championship in several editions. The club is the pride of the city and a symbol of the resilience of interior Paraná football.
