Club Brugge is Belgium's oldest club and one of its most successful, founded in 1891 in the beautiful medieval city of Bruges. With blue and black colors, the club is a reference point in Belgian football and has featured memorable campaigns in the Champions League. The Jan Breydel Stadion, which it shares with rival Cercle Brugge, hosts one of the most intense atmospheres in Belgian football.

History

Club Brugge reached the final of the European Cup in 1978, losing to Nottingham Forest 1-0. The club also reached the UEFA Cup final in 1976, being defeated by Liverpool. In recent years, Club Brugge has become a renewed powerhouse, with impressive campaigns in the Champions League and dominance of the national football. The club has accumulated 19 Belgian Championship titles and is today one of the most financially well-managed clubs in Belgium.
