Club from Bragança Paulista founded in 1928, champion of the São Paulo State Championship in 1990 and Brazilian runner-up in 1991. In 2019 it began to be managed by Red Bull.

History

Atlético Bragantino Club was founded on January 8, 1928 in Bragança Paulista, in the interior of São Paulo, from the merger of local associations. For decades it played in the lower divisions of São Paulo football. The turnaround came at the end of the 1980s, under the command of coach Carlos Alberto Silva and with strong local investment. In 1989 the club rose to the state elite and, in 1990, won the São Paulo State Championship by defeating São Paulo in the final, one of the greatest achievements of an interior club from São Paulo. The following year Bragantino reached the final of the 1991 Brazilian Championship, losing the title to São Paulo. Nabi Abi Chedid Stadium became a symbol of this period, also marked by the nickname 'Massa Bruta' (Raw Mass). After years of financial difficulties and alternating between divisions, the club formed a partnership with Red Bull in 2019, when it returned to Serie A, becoming commercially known as Red Bull Bragantino.
