Atlético Ferroviário Club was a club from Curitiba, in the state of Paraná, founded on January 12, 1930 and known as Boca-Negra. Eight-time champion of Paraná, it was dissolved in 1971 when it merged with Britânia and Palestra Itália to create Colorado.

History

Founded on January 12, 1930 in Curitiba, Ferroviário grew rapidly and established itself as one of the great clubs of Paraná football from the second half of the 1930s. Its uniform featured a black and white striped shirt, black shorts and socks, and the nickname was Boca-Negra. The club was champion of Paraná eight times: 1937, 1938, 1944, 1948, 1950, 1953, 1965 and 1966. It also won the Paraná Início Tournament seven times (1934, 1937, 1938, 1943, 1950, 1954 and 1960), the Curitiba League in 1937 and 1938, and the Curitiba City Cup in 1948, 1949 and 1950. Ferroviário also disputed many state finals without winning: there were eight runner-up finishes in 1942, 1946, 1947, 1949, 1955, 1957, 1963 and 1969. Its home was Durival Britto Stadium, at Vila Capanema, with a capacity of about 20 thousand people. In 1971, Ferroviário merged with Britânia Sport Club and Palestra Itália Football Club to form Colorado Sports Club. In 1989, Colorado merged with Pinheiros and originated Paraná Club, which connects the history of Boca-Negra to the current club.
