Colo-Colo

Colo-Colo is the most popular and successful football club in Chile, with the largest number of fans in the country. Founded by David Arellano in 1925, the club is named after a famous Mapuche chieftain and represents pride and national identity for millions of Chileans.

History

Colo-Colo is the only Chilean club to have won the Copa Libertadores, an achievement accomplished in 1991 under the command of coach Mirko Jozic. With the most titles in the Chilean Championship, the club dominated national football for decades and also accumulated titles from the Recopa Sudamericana and the Copa Interamericana. Its stadium, the Monumental, is the largest in Chile and the venue for the greatest achievements of Chilean football.
