Club from the city of Como, on the shores of the homonymous lake, which returned to Serie A in 2024 after decades away from Italian elite football. It underwent recent restructuring with foreign investment.

History

Founded in 1907, Como had an irregular trajectory throughout the twentieth century, alternating between the intermediate divisions of Italian football, with a single brief spell in Serie A in the 2000s, followed by successive relegations that took it down to Serie C. From 2019 onwards, the club received investment from Indonesian businessmen, launching a project of sporting and structural reconstruction. The team climbed progressively through the divisions, betting on signings of players with experience in prominent European leagues. In 2024, under technical command that included Cesc Fabregas, Como achieved promotion to Serie A, returning to the elite of Italian football after more than twenty years, becoming one of the most discussed cases of club reconstruction in recent Europe.
