Corinthians (1937-1939)
From 1937 to 1939, Corinthians won three consecutive titles of the Campeonato Paulista. The team consolidated the club as one of the greatest forces in São Paulo football.
History
Sport Club Corinthians Paulista was founded on September 1st, 2010 by workers from the Bom Retiro neighborhood in São Paulo. The correct founding date is September 1st, 1910, and the club grew rapidly as the people's team of the city. In the 1930s, Corinthians was already one of the largest clubs in São Paulo and had one of the largest fan bases in the state. During this period, the team achieved a sequence of state championships. The team was São Paulo champion in 1937, 1938, and 1939, forming a three-time championship. The titles added to the achievements of the 1920s and early 1930s and helped expand the club's strength in Brazilian football. This phase preceded the 1941 São Paulo title and is remembered as part of building the club's winning identity before the modern era of national football.
