Coritiba Women
Coritiba Women is the women's football team of Coritiba Foot Ball Club, maintained to comply with CBF regulations that require active women's departments in professional clubs. The team competes in the Paraná Women's Championship and women's national football access competitions.
History
Like many traditional Brazilian clubs, Coritiba structured its women's football team from 2019 onwards, following a CBF requirement linked to participation in the men's Copa do Brasil. The team began representing the club in state and national women's football competitions. Coritiba Women became a regular presence in the Paraná Women's Championship, competing for the state title with other emerging women's football teams from Paraná, in addition to participating in editions of the access divisions of the Brazilian Women's Championship. With the club's traditional green and white colors, the women's team seeks to consolidate its own support base within the Coritiba fanbase, historically concentrated in men's football, and has been gradually expanding the training structure for its athletes.
